Mystic Warrior

Mystic Warrior spirit calls
Chant sacred White Buffalo song,
Indian nation rise again
White Buffalo will make us strong.

The White Buffalo runs swiftly
Thunderous hooves shake earth and sky,
Sleeping Woman has awakened
She rubs turquoise tears from her eyes.

Mystic Warrior plays his flute
As Sleeping Woman gathers clans,
Turtle, Deer, Fox, Bear, Wolf, Eagle
Indian nations of the land.

His Song echoes through the canyons
Calling spirits from long ago,
“I will fight no more forever”
White Buffalo cries, “It is not so.”

The battles lost, few battles won
Bury my heart at Wounded Knee,
Indian nation rise again
White Buffalo forever free.
